What is CUPAL?
CUPAL is a cold-roll bonded copper-aluminium bimetal composite: 70% aluminium, 30% copper. It is not an alloy — the two metals are joined by diffusion welding, and each side retains its original properties. Used wherever aluminium and copper conductors meet and galvanic corrosion must be prevented.
