What is CUPAL sheet used for?
When connecting copper and aluminium conductors, direct contact causes galvanic corrosion. CUPAL sheet solves this: one side is copper, the other aluminium — no electrochemical reaction, no corrosion.
CUPAL sheet is a cold-rolled copper-aluminium bimetal composite: 70% aluminium, 30% copper, diffusion-bonded into a single material. It is not an alloy — both sides retain the properties of the original metal. Use it wherever aluminium and copper conductors meet and you want to prevent galvanic corrosion. German manufacturing technology, European standards.

Material composition
Aluminium side: AL 99.5 (Werkstoff-Nr. 3.0255, 1050A). Copper side: E1-Cu58, Cu 99.9% (Werkstoff-Nr. 2.0065). Bond strength between the two metals: 70-110 N/cm.
