What is CUPAL strip used for?
In lightning protection systems and cable lug connections, the copper-aluminium transition is a corrosion-sensitive point. CUPAL strip provides a lasting, corrosion-free transition.
CUPAL strip is a pre-dimensioned bimetal piece that you wrap around a cable lug connection. This solves the transition between an aluminium down-conductor and a copper earth in a corrosion-free way. Mainly used in lightning protection and high-voltage transition connections.
